The University of Wollongong Archives supports the research and teaching programs of the University through the collection and preservation of the records of individuals and organisations. The various archival Collections include a wide range of materials with an emphasis on labour history and politics. Most collections relate to New South Wales and many deal specifically with the Illawarra district. The Archives is also the repository of the University's administrative records. A collection policy was adopted by the University Council in 1982.
