Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre

Originally established in 1987, Yarrawarra, meaning ‘happy meeting place’, is an Aboriginal Cultural, Conference and Accommodation Centre that also has a number of other assets and is proudly owned and operated on a not-for-profit basis by local Aboriginal people predominantly from the Gumbaynggirr language group.

Aboriginal Art of and from the Norhtern Rivers & mid north coast Region:Paintings, ceramics, prints, photographs, sculptures, drawings and mixed media works that are by an Aboriginal artist of or from the regions.

Contemporary and historical photographs depicting the Indigenous culture of the mid north coast/ Gumbaynggirr nation have been acquired into this collection since 1996 with a focus on local history, including a full copy of the Williams Lindt collection housed at Grafton Regional Gallery.
