O'Keeffe Residence

The house originally constructed as an Officer's Mess in 1942, is a classic example of bush technology utilising bush timber, corrugated iron and flywire. An outstanding feature of the property is its garden, shaded by huge mango trees.

Old Borroloola Police Station Museum

Constructed in1886, when Borroloola was a significant riverport and drover's camp, the property was a police station for fifty years before it became a patrol officer's residence.

Adelaide River Railway Station

The Adelaide River Railway Station, built in 1888, was the only station on the North Australia Line that provided a refreshment room for passengers. It is a classic example of railway architecture in isolated regions. This station had great strategic importance during World War II.

Burnett House and Myilly Point Heritage Precinct

The precinct consists of four houses built in 1938-39 as part of a housing scheme for high-ranking public servants. The four houses are the last of their kind in-situ and are prime examples of pre World War II architecture. Burnett House, named after the architect B.C.G.

Returned and Services League of Australia

The important thing is the display of medical history, from the 19th Century right up to the UN Peacekeeping force in East Timor. The display consists of photographs, documents, weapons, uniforms, medals, flags etc.

The Araluen Centre

Battery Hill Mining Centre

National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame

Molly Clark of Old Andado Station founded Australia's National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame in 1993. It is a national project dedicated to preserving the place of women in history and their special contribution to Australia's heritage.
