WoodWorks Forestry and Timber Museum

Constructed completely out of timber, Wood Works is operated in partnership by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and the Queensland Museum.

Roma-Bungil Cultural Community Centre

The Roma Bungil Cultural Community Centre is a modern, multifunctional complex built by the Roma Town and Bungil Shire Councils. A major feature situated in the foyer is an impressive three-dimensional clay mural, which was created by local artists.

Longreach Power House Museum

The powerstation, opened in 1921, is one of the few big country power generating stations which is virtually intact and has the fist coal-fired gas producer used in the Australian electricity industry.

Cobb and Co Branch, Queensland Museum

The Cobb & Co Museum displays Australia's finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles, and can provide expert advice on the history and technology of Australian horse-drawn vehicles. Training programs are available in heritage trades, and conservation and accessioning for museum personnel.

Woocoo Historical Society

The museum complex comprises the main building, barn, wash house, dairy, blacksmith's shop, butcher shop, settler's slab hut with detached kitchen, goods shed, railway carriage and trike, railway station, shire office and catering facilities.

Greycliffe Homestead

Greycliffe is a wooden slab-construction 6-room homestead, originally constructed in the 1870s.

Big Shell

The entrance to this museum is via a five metre high big shell, representing the special nature of the museum. Inside is a wide variety of (mainly Australian) shells displayed in cabinets.

Fire Brigade's Historical Society Qld Inc

Located in a historic village complex, has a replica fire station with early model mack appliance and hand reel.

Carbethon Folk Museum and Pioneer Village

Built in the 1890's Carbethon was moved from Haden to Crow's Nest and opened as a folk museum in 1979. Historic house 'Carbethon' is the centrepiece, featuring local history and agricultural items and situated in a pioneer village of fifteen buildings.

Ilfracombe Museum

The museum comprises a museum building, cottage, lock-up and an extensive display of outside machinery.200 items of outside machinery

Redcliffe Museum

The Redcliffe Museum tells the fascinating story of the history and community od Redcliffe. Redcliffe, a beautiful peninsula located on the northern end of Moreton Bay, was the site of first white settlement in Queensland with settlers and convicts landing in 1824.

Australian Flying Museum

The museum is set up in a Queensland town bus, which travels around south-east Queensland to airshows and schools.World War memorabilia, aircraft parts, models and diagrams

Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology

The Museum is derived from Britain's first social history museum. It was founded in 1934 in England and was brought to Australia after World War II. After nearly 40 years of storage, it now occupies a new building opened in 1986 near Bribie Island, 40 kilometres North of Brisbane.

Ben Cropp Shipwreck Museum

Housed in the Pier Marketplace, the museum contains a large collection of historic shipwreck relics from many ships, including relics of the famous "Pandora"; relics from Cook's "Endeavour"; and continuous films of Ben Cropp's adventures.Estimate over 1,000 items.

QUT Art Museum (Queensland University of Technology)

The collection was established in 1945. It comprises almost 1400 works, including paintings, sculptures, decorative arts and works on paper. The collecting focus centres primarily on contemporary Australian visual art and craft.

Railco

Railco is a non profit company devoted to restoring and running steam trains. The Ravenshoe railway line is a full size, operating steam railway with original railway infrastructure and buildings.
