A treasure trove of information on local and district families and social life. mining records and memorabilia of gold rush and deep lead mining. Art works provide a significant insight into the cultural heritage of the area. Newspapers, microfilm and photograph, provide an almost complete record of the first one hundred years of settlement.

Collection: 

Approximately 3000 items and 2000 photographs which have been digitised and are available for purchased. Housed in the former Shire Office/Town Hall, a building classified by the National Trust - comprising notable artists and art works of historical importance. Featuring local artists Lindsay, Litherland, Moyle, Tibbits and Bernaldo. Records and Relics of early mining, including the worst mining disaster in Victoria's history, an extensive collection of local family histories and local social records, complete set of "Creswick Advertiser" from 1859.
