City of Armadale History House Museum

Opened in 1976 History House Museum has collected, preserved, interpreted and exhibited the human and natural history of the Armadale/Kelmscott district. The museum helps to tell stories relating to the local Indigenous culture, European and Asian migration to the district and local industries including farming, timber, horticulture and brick making.

The museum's collection includes the nationally significacnt Ben Strange Collection of Australian political cartoons from the late 1880's to the 1930's.

The museum also includes an extensive collection of domestic material brought to the district by European and Asian migrants looking for a new start in life.
