The University Archives was established in 1983 and makes available the historically valuable records and papers of the University and its predecessors. University Archives is responsible for the administration, preservation, appraisal and destruction of the University non-current official records. The archives is also the repository for the valuable older records of faculties, schools, institutes and other University bodies and welcomes additions to its holdings in these areas.

Facilities: 
The Archives incorporates a workroom which doubles as a reference and reading room facility, which is suitable for researchers. This area is equipped with microfiche reader, finding aids and a photocopier.

Paper reocords, microform, motion picture film, sound recordings, video recordings, negatives and photographs, machine-readable data files and optical images.
