Goulburn Branch Library - Regional History Room

Within the Regional History Room (RHR) of Goulburn Branch Library, materials relating to the history of Goulburn and the Southern Tablelands region are collected and made available for research.

These resources are provided jointly by the Goulburn District Family History Society Inc (GDFHS) and the Southern Tablelands Regional Library (STRL). RHR is also a Community Access Point for State Records NSW.

Facilities: 
Research facilities of the RHR are available free of charge to the public, 7 days per week. Donations to the GDFHS for use of their resources are greatly appreciated and support the acquisition of further materials. Library staff and volunteers of the GDFHS are happy to provide basic assistance within the RHR if required, though more detailed enquiries should be referred to the Society.

State Records Archives Resources Kit incorporating NSW births, deaths & marriages, convict and transportation records, and shipping and immigration lists etc

Local newspapers on microfilm from 1848

Comprehensive indexes and guides, eg obituaries

Books, pamphlets, maps and plans, microfiche and microfilm

Photographs (limited access by arrangement)
