Hurstville City Museum & Gallery
The Hurstville City Museum & Gallery is maintained and run by Hurstville City Council, as a facility designed to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit artefacts that relate to the history, heritage and culture of the regional area. The Museum is an ever-changing entity designed to adapt to the needs of the local community, through interesting educational and public programs, and special events.
First and fourth Saturday of the month:10am-3pm
The Hurstville City Museum & Gallery will collect, record, research, preserve, display and store material culture from the St. George district from pre-1788 to 1970. Within the collection we store items from World War 2, the early twentieth century domestic sphere, sugar cakes and cake decorating equipment, lawn bowls equipment as well as a number of on going loans from residents of the St. George district.
