Hawkesbury Regional Museum

Hawkesbury Regional Museum comprises a new, specially designed building at 8 Baker Street and, on the same site, the heritage building known at Howes House built c.1820 by John Howe. The museum and is located in Windsors heritage precinct Thompson Square, one of Australia's oldest remaining public sqaures overlooking the Hawkesbury River.

It houses a unique collection of objects spanning the area's indigenous, pioneer and developing history.

Visitor Information and local heritage walking guides are available and the museum is conveniently located to shops, restaurants, cafes, transport and other local attractions, as well as being a great place to visit on your way to the Hunter Valley or the Blue Mountains.
