Clarence River Historical Society Inc
The museum focuses on the history of the Clarence Valley and includes an exhibition containing 36 black and white photographs of steam vessels that traded on the Clarence River. 150 piece wedgwood collection, paintings by mickey of Ulladulla, Neville Cayley, E. J. Cox. 3,000 family histories, local paper since 1859, 5000 photographs, extensive library - bookcase of rare editions, collection housed in 100yr old federation house maintained by Council, extensive research facilities. visitors remark "best exhibition ever seen". Polished silver and cleanliness of whole house a strong point.
The major focus of the collection is the history of the Clarence Valley. The collection contains a 6ft scale model of Pulganbar owned by North Coast Steam Navigation Company, nautical equipment and 3 paintings by aboriginal artist, Mickey of Ulladulla. There is an an extensive family history library and archives plus an extensive newspaper collection from 1859 to the present.
