National Road Transport Hall of Fame

The National Road Transport Hall of Fame is a community based, volunteer managed and operated museum dedicated to the preservation and presentation of Australia's unique road transport heritage with displays of commercial vehicles and memorabilia from all areas of Australia and all sectors of industry.

Admission: 
$10 per person for a two day pass that gives entry to all four museums on the site including 1)Buntine Pavilion 2) the Kenworth Museum 3) The Home for Bertha and 4) Restoration and workshops. Discount available for pensioners, children and groups.
Facilities: 
Four large exhibition halls, car and bus parking, eleven themed rooms, wheelchair access, souvenir shop, refreshments, toilets, guided tours, courtesy bus transfers, functions and events, resource library and volunteer caravan park.
Collection: 

The collection includes Australia's largest collection of commercial vehicles and memorabilia including vintage and veteran cars and motorbikes but specialising in heavy vehicles. The collection includes the 1932 AEC Government roadtrain, Kurt Johannsen's legendary Diamond T 980 and self tracking trailers and the Vestey Organisations 1957 Rotinoff Viscounts as well as a large collection of military vehicles from WW2. The collection includes a variety of other trucks and trailers from Australia's past including Kenworths, Internationals, Bedfords, Macks, Mercedes Benz, Fords, Fodens, Dodges, Leylands, Chevs, GMCs, Volvo, Scania and MAN and some farm and road machinery. The collection also includes Australia's largest collection of road transport memorabillia including 10,000 photographs and thousands of objects including tools, engines, spareparts, truck and coach badges, old brochures, truck manuels and magazines. Highlights include the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame where Australia's road transport pioneers and their stories from yesteryear are annually inducted into the museum, an "old Alice" street scene, a memorial garden and large grounds with a variety of BBQ or picnic areas.
