Giacomo and Pietro Lucini immigrated to Australia from Italy in the 1850s and settled in Hepburn Springs, Victoria. They established a macaroni factory in 1859, which also produced bread, sausages and salami. The Lucini brothers made their pasta in the traditional way. Its quality was attributed to their use of Australian wheat and the mineral water of Hepburn Springs.
