Churchill Island is a State Park and Sanctuary which features historic buildings, artefacts and an Agricultural Museum. The historic buildings date from 1866. The Agricultural Museum houses a unique collection of farm engines, machinery, tools and implements. Dairy equipment is displayed in the main homestead. Other features include historic garden surrounds, shoreline walking tracks and 400 year old moonah trees.102 items plus photographs

High on a hill, with the mountain ranges as a backdrop, this 1882 pioneer home sits lovingly restored and furnished by the Wandin Community. The house built of hand made bricks produced on the site, was finished in 1862. It was built by Henry Sebire, a stonemason, who originally came from Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. Housed in the Old School Building (c1870), the El Dorado Museum includes a collection of domestic items, mining relics, memorabilia, farming machinery and tools of trade. Photographs show the development of mining in the area. The main attractions of the Gisborne Steam Park are a working narrow gauge railway that will soon be used to take passengers on a loop of track; and working engines (including the Fowler Steam Road Roller and Ruston Hornsby Portable Steam Engine) that can be seen operating on regular running days. An engineering workshop museum exhibits the machinery, tools and equipment of a 1920s style farmer's engineering workshop.Estimated 100 items
This museum is housed in the former Schoolmaster's House (c.1880). Special exhibitions and events are staged in the adjoining school room (1878). The museum consist of three rooms of displays and a series of audiotapes of former residents of the district talking of their experiences in the 1930s and 1940s. This collection focuses on the history of Kew. Changing displays feature, artefacts, early scenes of Kew, (including tapestries and photographs), costumes (women's and children's) and an important collection of mayoral portraits. The Museum is housed primarily in the relocated office and weighbridge of the former Maffra Sugarbeet Factory, with an associated shed containing agricultural machinery. An audio-visual of sugarbeet growing around Maffra is included, as are small exhibitions on European exploration, Aborigines and pre-history. The museum is housed in a stylish colonial building originally designed as the administrative headquarters of the Borough of Sale. It houses a relatively large and diverse collection. Local government paper-based records and original council furniture are especially outstanding. The building was originally built as a coach house/blacksmith shop, in 1880, from local field limestone. It served a variety of commercial purposes until its conversion to a museum in 1993. The original four roomed building, c.1888, from which the irrigation scheme for the Western Goulburn Valley was developed, was purchased and restored in 1988. This building now houses local history and information on the history of irrigation. Voluntary organisation - collects artefacts, documents, photographs of historical significance relating to Phillip Island and District to preserve our heritage. We maintain and staff a museum open to the public. The society meets on 1st Wednesday of the month at 8.00pm. We have a guest speaker at each meeting and visitors are welcome.The Society's collection consists of local community archival records, many historical photographs. An annual rally is held in early March when enthusiasts from around the state bring exhibits to swell the displays.
