This beast was first noticed on Redford station in 1962. As he was blind he was put out of his misery and then his skull was placed on an ants nest to be cleaned out and protected.
Morven Historical Museum Incorporated
The Morven Historical Museum consists of five buildings. The main office building stores a miscellaneous collection of old books, photographs, and local artefacts. Connected to the main office is a slab hut used for machinery and hardware and such larger articles as an old manual wool press. The third building features a unique collection of finally crafted miniature buildings that were to be found in Morven in the early 1900's. A fourth building houses an Army Blitz, while the fifth building houses many old machinery items some of which include a softdrink bottling machine, mowers, and tools. Also part of the Museum is a Kerosene Tin Hut replicating the housing built in Morven in the Depression years of the 1930's. These buildings are typical of many early Australian settlements and together depict the social history of Morven in this bygone era.
