Description:
Quilt in nine patch design. Thirty blocks, hand pieced in mixed cotton fabrics, solids, checks, flowers, stripes. Quilt is tied. Padding is Hobbs Heirloom (cotton 80%, polyester 20%); backing is cream muslin. 2100 x 1750 mm.
History:
Quilt is thought to have been made by Menite people, Ontario, Canada. Purchased in Ontario, Canada and sent to owner by her daughter. Quilt is currently being used.

Hexagon quilt in pattern known as 'Grandmother's flower garden'. Hexagons of prints and plains with yellow centre to each flower, and plain pink outlines. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Padding is cotton, backing is cream cotton. 2200 x 2000 mm.
