Description:
Patchwork crazy quilt with patches of cotton, rayon, velvet and cotton blends. Colours are predominantly pastels. Red herringbone stitch joins each patch and also stitches it to the calico backing. No padding.

History:
Made by Mrs W.H. Goodfellow when she lived in Brisbane. She had lived in the Miles District, and the quilt won 1st prize at the district show in 1951. Now owned by the Miles Historical Village & Museum, and used as a chaise lounge mattress cover in the living room of the slab hut.

This Adelaide Chronicle wildflower quilt has alternating squares of green and fawn headcloth embroidered with Australian wildflowers on the fawn squares and stylised floral motifs on the green squares. It is bordered and backed with the same green material. It is padded.

Block pattern consisting of a circle, hexagon and circle within a square. Cotton dressmaking fabrics with a few plain creams. Hand pieced and hand quilted. At some stage has been machine reinforced. Now faded, worn and damaged especially one end. Quilting pattern is four leaf clover inside large cable. The backing is 4 different pink toned fabrics in longitudinal stripes. Patchwork quilt made from Suffolk Puffs in a mixture of bright and pastel prints and plains, mainly in cotton materials. Hand sewn. No padding or backing.

Grandmother's Flower Garden, also known as French Bouquet. The quilt comprises 181 flowers. No padding is used. Each flower has seven hexagonal patches, cut from a metal template pattern. Floral and plain silk materials are used and mounted on pale blue moire taffeta.
