Description:
Wholecloth quilt made from cotton japara, a feather proof fabric, printed with a blue floral and check pattern on white. Machine quilted in rectangles, and filled with feathers. Originally two small quilts, and joined together later. Quilt is reversible, the backing the same as the front.

Made in 1966 by Margaret Little. Owned by Dulcie Williams.
Story:
The quilt was originally two quilts, made as a baby welcoming gift for twins. As the children grew up the two quilts were joined together and so had an extended life.
The Little family were a pioneer family in the Miles district (Qld), and they provided the feathers for the filling.

Wholecloth pram quilt with a top of pink cotton sateen, and the reverse is a more finely woven, ivory, fabric. All over quilting design as main feature, with stylised hearts, leaves and cross hatching. The padding is cotton batting. 870 x 660 mm.
Hand stitched, cotton, appliquéd, quilt in a flower pattern on a plain background. Colours are shades of green, apricot and browns. This quilt was known as a 'Bride's Quilt'. Padding is thought to be layers of white fabric raised almost like a wadding. The backing is cotton material. 2470 x 2020 mm.
Durham type wholecloth quilt of cotton sateen, hand sewn and quilted. Apricot on one side and yellow on the other. The padding is possibly coarse cotton.

Bassinet quilt. Pink satin top and backing overlaid with lace. Machine and hand sewn. The padding is possibly a nappy. It is part of a set that includes a pillow cover.

Wholecloth quilt made of gold satin with a backing of beige coloured cotton. The padding is wool. The quilting pattern is an all over diamond pattern, framed in a border of straight and wavy parallel lines. It is hand quilted.

The top is machine pieced patches of used clothing. The backing is large pieces of dress materials and either end patches similar to the top. The padding is a chaff bag or similar with patches of worn, matted children's jumpers sewn directly on to it.
