Description: 
Cotton appliqué quilt in green and pink 'Rose of Sharon' design, against a white background. Finely quilted with feathers between flowers and feathers on the border, with some cross hatching. Padding is cotton, and backing is white cotton. 2250 x 1700 mm.
History: 

Quilt thought to have been made c.1930; bought at Continental Quilt Convention in Tampa, Florida, USA, in 1981.

Wholecloth cot quilt, reversible, both sides pale pink rayon printed with small bunches of pink roses, blue flowers and green leaves. Outside edge is machine sewn except for opening for filling which is slip stitched. Quilted by hand with large stitches in pink thread along width and length of quilt. The padding is wool.
