Description: 
Unfinished square quilt top in hexagon rosettes. Papers have been removed but some tacking threads remain. 1896 is embroidered on one hexagon.

History: 

Made by Mrs. Helen Smith born in 1838. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Mavis Grant of Euroa. It was made in Strathbogie Vic. Now displayed in the Euroa museum.

Cotton quilt of pieced hexagons and some diamonds made for a baby's basket. Colours are mainly blue and pink and two 'Punch and Judy's' are appliqued in the centre. There is no padding and the backing is a cotton floral in blues and greens.
