Description:
Patchwork quilt, the top made from large squares and rectangles of woollen material pieced in a random manner. Colours are bright pink and green, with brown, blue and grey check pieces. Padding is flannelette and an old singlet. Backing is made of scraps of woollen material.

Made in the 1940s at Adelong (NSW) by Mrs Mary Annetts. Owned by Beverley Beck.
Story:
"Mrs Annett's son can remember his mother making this type of quilt many years ago. The quilt was found under many mattresses on a verandah bed."

Native flower prints, including wattle, on a white background. Plain hexagons in white, yellow and blue form a scalloped border. Hexagons are hand stitched and the 2 layers are quilted in running stitch. The backing is a pieced sheet.

Cotton quilt . Blue squares with evry alternate square cream with an appliqued butterfly. Blue border. Completely hand quilted. Light weight padding and cotton backing .

Crazy quilt of velvet upholstery fabrics, and cigar ribbons with surface embroidery. Patches are outlined in embroidery stitches, and one patch has 'Dec 12 1886' on it. There is no padding, and the backing is cotton. 1720 x 1580 mm.
