Description:
Hand sewn quilt of cotton hexagons placed to form rosettes or 'flowers'' each unit is 6 hexagons and one in the centre. There is a border, based on squares, around the quilt. In the centre of a rosette in the middle of the quilt 'E.L.1798' is embroidered in grey cotton in cross stitch. The backing is cotton.

History:
The quilt was made in England last century by Elizabeth Leadbeater whose initials are on the quilt. It was donated to the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) in 1971 by Mrs. C.E.Edmondson when McCrae homestead opened to the public.
It is displayed at McCrae homestead, McCrae, Victoria.

Each corner of the border has 3 chequered squares set on the diagonal. Hand sewn, the binding is machine sewn. No padding or backing.

Crazy patchwork quilt made from silk and cotton fabrics, in patterns and plains, in bright colours. Patches are arranged around a central diamond shaped patch in yellow which is bordered with light blue. All seams are covered with featherstitch and herringbone stitch. Patches were stitched onto a calico backing. A recent calico backing ahs been added and dark blue binding attached to the edge. No padding.

Crazy patchwork quilt with pieces made from cottons, rayons, silks and taffetas. Each piece is stuffed with kapok and machine sewn to a backing then a wholecloth floral cotton backing has been added.

Quilt made of Tailors' wool samples in stripes, checks and plain,, rectangles in different sizes machined together in strips. Colours are grey, navy, brown, light grey and cream. Lining or backing is of patterned cotton, in three layers as it has worn and been replaced. Machine and zigzag quilting.
