Noosa Shire Museum
The museum features extensive local history collections, a large photographic collection depicting the history of Noosa Shire and a display of Aboriginal artefacts. The museum occupies the original shire council chambers built in 1910, and is situated in an historic timber town.

Description:
In 1919 a syndicate was formed with local residents to form a pottery on Jam Pot Creek, Pemora. Purchased horse drawn pugmill and made bricks fro Kiln. Kiln was 30ft high and made of 78,000 bricks (handmade). Used 8 different clays (Kadin). They received a medal at the Wembley Exhibition in England in 1924.

Description:
Bruce was trying to get over a hangover (worked as Railway Ganger) and decided o run up the top of Mt Cooroora and back. Reported to his drinking mates that he had done this but no one believed him. A bet was made with another mate to repeat in 2 weeks and so began the annual race up the mountain yearly.
