Description:
Traditional Suffolk Puff constructed from a wide variety of mainly cotton fabrics including small floral prints, checks and plains. 1630 x 1500mm
History:
It is thought that this Suffolk Puff quilt was made by Mrs. Batt in Denmark Western Australia. It was then owned by Eileen Sutton and then passed to the present owner Julia Sutton. It is still used.

Cotton quilt in pattern commonly known as "Double Wedding Ring'. Probably an American McCall's pattern. Hand stitched, florals, checks and plain pieces. The backing is pink cotton. Scalloped edge.

Cotton scrap quilt with shapes of squares and diamonds and strips. There is no padding and the backing is calico.

Quuilt constructed from large pieces of used clothing pieced together to form the top. There are layers of under shirts once used by the maker's father and also by her husband Bill. The backing is an old cream blanket.

Hand pieced crazy quilt in a variety of plain coloured velvets. All seams are over embroidered in a variety of stitches. There is no padding and the backing is heavy black cotton. 1900 x 1630mm.
Continuous 'sleeve' of hand sewn small hexagons, many woollen, some joined, some darned, plain and patterned. Several bands of plain coloured hexagons. The padding is ticking, an old cream blanket and part of a bedspread.

Double sided quilt. One side is frame with borders of wool rectangles mainly offcuts of men's suiting from tailors' shops. The other side is mainly flannelette in stripes and patterns similar to pyjama material. The padding is pieced patches of worn jumpers that were too matted to be unpicked. Machine construction.
