Wholecloth quilt made from deep cherry red satin with a backing of red cotton. The padding is cotton wadding. It is hand quilted and the pattern is a central motif of a large diamond with diamond fill. Each corner has a pattern of curved lines and the quilt border is created by four parallel lines.

Central quilting pattern of interlaced curves, within 3 rows of parallel stitching, then a border pattern of an interlaced knot design, the edge finished with 2 rows of parallel quilting. Wholecloth quilt from Greece with one side red cotton sateen and the other floral cotton print, furnishing material weight, on cream background. Padding is extremely thick (about 20mm) wool or cotton . It is quilted in large even stitches with thick red thread in a pattern of clamshells with a border of lines and semi circles.
