East Perth Cemeteries
These historic cemeteries date back to 1830 and provide a fascinating insight into pioneer times. The grounds were originally divided into various religious denominations, and the architectural and artistic style of the colonial era is clearly reflected in the tombstones. Also gracing the site is St. Bartholomew's Chapel, built in 1871. Of simplified Gothic style, the chapel was opened for public worship in 1888.
