Description:
4 hexagon flower motifs in cotton and brocade stitched with herringbone stitch to a blue background form the centre frame. There are then 3 borders of woollen materials and additional strips either end. The backing is a printed cotton with multicoloured balloons and '1967' embroidered in one corner. The padding is thought to be an old blanket.

History:
The quilt was made by Mary Wood at Markwood Victoria in 1967. It was a gift to her great grand-daughter Gayle Graham the present owner. It is stored in a cupboard.
Story:
Mary Wood made a number of quilts still in existence. She lived at Markwood all her married life and her husband was one of the pioneers of the district, John Moon Wood.

Handmade quilt in off centre log cabin pattern. Pieces are floral furnishing and dress fabrics, in twenty blocks. There is no padding, and backing is of bright floral cotton. 1900 x 1500 mm.
Rectangular quilt of print and plain cottons pieced in squares and rectangles, the centre group of pieces surround a larger piece of pale blue fabric, within a frame or border, of bright pink material, then 3 rows of squares and rectangles. Backing of plain fabric. Machine stitched on a treadle machine.
Cotton scrap quilt with shapes of diamonds, strip and squares. The quilt has been repaired using machine zig zag in white cotton. There is no padding and the backing is calico.

Double sided quilt made from woollen suiting pieces some of which have hand worked eyelets. Many of the rectangles are irregular. Both sides use similar pieces but arranged in different patterns. There is no padding.
