Balingup
A small rural town ringed by hills and farmland. It retains a rural charm, while also being a centre of artistic and musical creativity. It is said that there is a "special Magic" in this town that affects all the residents.
Balingup hosts a 'Small Farm Field Day', 'Concert Under the Stars', a 'Rock and Roll" festival and a 'Spring Picnic at Golden Valley Tree Park.
Boyup Brook
Boyup Brook Shire is primarily agricultural, producing wool, grains, wine & grapes.
The town owes its name to an aboriginal word meaning "place of stones" or "place of big smoke" given to Booyup Pool, a few kilometres from the town. Because the town is only 269 km from Perth and situated between the major highways, Boyup Brook is ideal for a quiet stopover where visitors can enjoy canoeing on the Blackwood River, or take bushwalks where they can enjoy the birds and wildflowers.
Bridgetown
A small inland town on the Blackwood River, it is about 280km south of Perth and 37km north of Manjimup. It is an important orcharding centre, especially for apples.
Bunbury
Once a whaling port, Bunbury is now a major commercial centre and port servicing the southwest. Named after Lieutenant Bunbury who explored the region in 1836, the town has also become a popular holiday resort.
Busselton
A coastal town on Geographe Bay, 239km south of Perth, Busselton is one of the earliest sites of settlement in Western Australia - it was named in 1837.
Busselton's mild climate with host and mostly dry summer days is ideal for surfing, fishing, sailing and other aquatic sports. Many of the town's buildings have been listed for preservation by the National Trust.
Collie
Collie is the only commercial coalfield in Western Australia. It is about 60km inland from Bunbury, and 200km south-east of Perth. The town is set in the midst of extensive jarrah forests and sheep grazing farms.
Donnybrook
The area surrounding Donnybrook is used mainly for growing apples. The town itself is located at the base of the Darling Range on the Preston River.

Harvey is set in a productive area where there are dairy cattle, orchards, wineries and a cheese factory.
Manjimup
This is a farming area but it is also famous for its Karri Forests. The name Manjimup is Aboriginal and means 'rushes near a water hole'. It is a pretty town that has tree-lined approaches from all directions
Margaret River
Nannup
Nannup has a shire population of around 1200. It is a grape growing and wine production area along with cut flower growing.
This is town that has embraced eco-tourist and there is bush walking and trout fishing.
