Located 225 km south east of Perth, Corrigin is a relatively new town on the wheatbelt. It wasn't until the early part of the twentieth century that significant numbers of people moved into the area to take up land and to settle permanently.

Civic pride is high, and Corrigin has won the Tidy Town award several times.

The town of Narrogin is located on both sides of Narrogin Valley. At the bottom of the valley, Narrogin Creek is the first of many creeks that flow south and eventually find their way to the Arthur and Blackwood Rivers. It is a commercial and educational centre for the region.
