Located 225 km south east of Perth, Corrigin is a relatively new town on the wheatbelt. It wasn't until the early part of the twentieth century that significant numbers of people moved into the area to take up land and to settle permanently.

Civic pride is high, and Corrigin has won the Tidy Town award several times.

Lake Grace is a small town located 353 km south east of Perth. It is a typical wheatbelt township characterised by the inevitable grain silos, bulk loading facilities and single pub (Walkabout Travel Guide).

The town of Narrogin is located on both sides of Narrogin Valley. At the bottom of the valley, Narrogin Creek is the first of many creeks that flow south and eventually find their way to the Arthur and Blackwood Rivers. It is a commercial and educational centre for the region.


Newdegate is surrounded by wheat and sheep farmland and masses of wildflowers. Newdegate has the second largest inland CBH Receival Bin. Wave Rock - Hyden is 80km north of Newdegate. Pristine coastal hideaways of Hopetoun and Bremer Bay are only 2 hours south of Newdegate.




The population may be small in this town but the enthusiasm and sprit of the people who live there is high. The town boasts a hospital, a high school, 5 churches, 3 service clubs, 4 banks, and 3 hotels, sporting facilities, a library and 2 supermarkets.

An Historical Village with 23 authentic buildings & machinery (circa 1900), an Emu farm open to tourists, and Puntapin Rock formation, are just a few of the places of interest in the Wagin area.
