Edenvale Heritage Complex
A reminder of the early days of settlement of this historic town (Pinjarra) and an important pioneering family. The complex comprises two homes built by the McLarty family, associated buildings. The Roger May Museum within the Edenvale Complex consists of historic farm and other machinery and equipment.
Edenvale built in 1888 by Edward McLarty is a Victorian style residence, containing seventeen rooms and two cellars and was home to the Premier of Western Australia, Sir Ross McLarty. The other residence on the property is Liveringa, built in the 1860's. The Roger May Museum houses an interesting collection of historic farm and other machinery. Much of the collection has provenance to the region and some of the machinery is still operational.
