Fremantle Arts Centre
The Fremantle Arts Centre is one of Western Australia's leading arts organisations offering a rich and diverse cultural program for visitors all year round. The Fremantle Arts Centre works to create an environment which brings people together in the active exploration of cultural ideas. The building is a Fremantle landmark - a magnificent example of neo-Gothic architecture surrounded by a series of courtyards and lawns. The building was constructed in the 1860s as the State's first asylum. Each month the Fremantle Arts Centre presents dynamic new exhibitions, music, craft and a tri-mester series of courses.
