Description: 
Wholecloth quilt of red and green striped cotton cretonne. Top and backing are the same material. The padding is old blankets. It is machine stitched. 1580 x 1130mm
History: 

The quilt was made by Mrs. Sarah Lubke about 1945 for her grandchildren. It was used constantly. It is now owned by her daughter-in-law Mrs. Delys Lubke and is sometimes used on fishing trips.

Wholecloth quilt made from deep cherry red satin with a backing of red cotton. The padding is cotton wadding. It is hand quilted and the pattern is a central motif of a large diamond with diamond fill. Each corner has a pattern of curved lines and the quilt border is created by four parallel lines.

Traditional hand stitched Greek quilt, the top piece (in Greek a 'Stoffa') is of blue brocade with a gold pattern of roses and leaves. The border and backing are made from gold brocade woven with a daisy pattern (the same material as is in sister Ann Kyranis' quilt). The padding is cotton wool.

The Pioneer Women's Hut
Single bed quilt made up entirely of hexagons in 'Granny's Flower Garden' pattern. The rosettes are made up of 8 hexagons and a central one. Native flower prints, including wattle, on a white background. Plain hexagons in white, yellow and blue form a scalloped border. Hexagons are hand stitched and the 2 layers are quilted in running stitch. The backing is a pieced sheet.

Patchwork quilt made from pure wool suiting samples in shades of navy blue and brown. Quilt is constructed in 11 rows containing 11 pieces. Each piece is 14cm x 9cm. No padding. Backing is of mauve cotton with a floral pattern of closely spaces white/pale mauve flowers.
