Overlooking Corio Bay, the Geelong Maritime Museum is located in the stable of Osborne House which was built in 1857. The museum has displays looking at the colourful history of Osbourne House which was the site of the first Australian Naval College in 1913 and the first submarine base in 1921. The Gippsland Art Gallery, Sale is located at the Port of Sale Civic Centre, home to the gallery since 1995. The gallery consists of three major exhibition spaces and features a small, but significant permanent collection. The gallery hosts several key State and National touring exhibitions each year. The Australian Racing Museum is dedicated to the preservation, study and display of the nation's racing heritage. Established in 1974, under the patronage of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, the museum celebrates the past, present and future of racing. Como is one of few surviving large suburbab estates, dating from 1847, just over 10 years after European settlement of the Port Phillip district. For 95 years it was owned by the Armytage family, prominent graziers and well known members of Melbourne society. Much of their original furniture is in the house today. The house is surrounded by 6.5 acres of beautiful gardens.Approximtely 1500 pieces of furniture and decorative arts objects, mostly original to the Armytage family's period of ownership. The Tilly Aston Heritage Collection is owned by Vision Australia Foundation, an organisation that has operated as a service provider for blind and vision impaired people since 1895. The collection's namesake, Tilly Aston, co founded the Association for the Advancement of the Blind (now Vision Australia Foundation), at the age of 21 and successfully obtained voting rights, transport concessions and a pension for blind people in addition to free postage for Braille material. The Kyneton Museum collection is housed in a group of buildings, the most substantial of which was built in 1856 from local bluestone for the infant Bank of New South Wales. The branch was opened to service miners of the region's goldfields. Original outbuildings include kitchens, celler and stables, and these have been augmented by various outbuildings including an original settlers cottage which was relocated here in 1970. Bundoora Homestead is a magnificent Queen Anne style Federation building registered by Heritage Victoria and certified by The National Trust. The Gallery hosts a year round exhibition program that includes both contemporary and earlier fine and decorative arts. The Museum collection is housed in the old Esperance Railway Station building. It was officially opened in October 1976 and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Items from the wreckage of Skylab which crashed to earth near Esperance in 1979, a WAGR steam locomotive, exhibits from Sir Douglas Mawson's Antarctic expedition, a large agricultural machinery display, items from shipwrecks and items from early settlements make up a fascinating collection of exhibits. This eleven room wattle and daub cottage built circa 1832 consists of an entry, box room, parlour, nursery, bedroom, dining room, family room, sewing room, kitchen, laundry and side verandah. Appropriate artefacts covering several eras are in the various rooms, with display cases in every room. Set in a neat garden surroundsAccessioned photographs number 8,000. Accessioned artworks number 500. There are some 7,000 artifacts of all types.
Two storey building of stone, constructed in 1870 by the Peninsular and Oriental Steamship Navigation Company as a Cooperative Society Store for their goods, employees and families. From circa 1885 the building had a variety of uses - as a printery, soft drink factory, lodging house, apartments, and railway employees barracks (1973-1991). Built originally as the Town Hall in 1905, the Federation Academic Classical architectural style of the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery is reflective of civic buildings built throughout Western Australia in the post gold rush days. In 1984 the Town Hall was saved from demolition and converted into an art gallery. A second floor was added internally and appropriate environmental and security systems installed. Walkaway Station Museum, was originally Walkaway Railway Station, it was built in 1887 (architect was Poole). The building is a two storeyed section, containing Station Master's residence and office - A second building was built for a post master. In 1921 the Railway Dept. Needed another staff residence. The saving from demolition of a beautiful stone building was most important to our committee.School room, Midland Railway room, local history, records of burials, gun room, exploration room.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia is the oldest visual arts organisation in the state, having acquired its first work of art in 1895. The City of Gosnells Museum - Wilkinson Homestead (formerly known as Orange Tree Farm) is a local history museum located in a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The Wilkinson Homestead, built in 1912, is the main museum building and is State Heritage Listed. The Wilkinson Family established a citrus orchard which became one of the largest in Western Australia. The collection and displays reflect the life of earlier times, including domestic life and agriculture. Hands-on education programs are presented by the volunteers who support staff in the work of the Museum.

We have a small Museum which embraces a costume collection of c 2,000 pieces, an art collection of c 200 pieces, a huge photograph collection and a library.
