Water Tower Museum is housed in an old four-storey, thirteen-metre water storage tower built in 1886 by the railways for the supply of steam engines. Some objects are also held in the adjacent historic Concordia College building. The museum holds a unique taxidermy collection of 500 birds dating back over a hundred years. This Museum is housed in Echuca's former Police Station and its cells. It specialises in the history of Echuca, its place in the river trade and its past citizens through its collection of documents, river charts, photographs and artefacts. Genealogical data is on microfiche and copies of local newspapers. Echuca Borough Council Rate and Valuation books and church records are on microfilm.3500 items

The organisation was formed to preserve the contents of the historic Council Chambers built 1867 and contains photographs, letters, maps, diaries, photographs of Councillors and history of the area. The building was originally built as a coach house/blacksmith shop, in 1880, from local field limestone. It served a variety of commercial purposes until its conversion to a museum in 1993. The Nillumbik Historical Society's aim is to collect and preserve historical documents, articles and historic sites. The society's headquarters is a stone farmers cottage erected in 1865, which it operates as a museum and storage centre. This eleven room wattle and daub cottage built circa 1832 consists of an entry, box room, parlour, nursery, bedroom, dining room, family room, sewing room, kitchen, laundry and side verandah. Appropriate artefacts covering several eras are in the various rooms, with display cases in every room. Set in a neat garden surroundsAccessioned photographs number 8,000. Walkaway Station Museum, was originally Walkaway Railway Station, it was built in 1887 (architect was Poole). The building is a two storeyed section, containing Station Master's residence and office - A second building was built for a post master. In 1921 the Railway Dept. Needed another staff residence.
