Patchwork quilt made from squares of wool and cotton fabrics, from dressing gown material, skirts, and corduroy. Machine sewn onto a cotton counterpane woven in stripes of red, blue, black on white. Colours of fabrics are red, blue, yellow, white and grey, with a dark grey check. Sewn on a treadle sewing machine.

Crazy patchwork quilt in silks, brocades, velvets and cottons, each piece outlined in double herringbone stitches worked in yellow silk thread. Some pieces are embroidered in long stitch in silk and feature flowers such as fuchsias, water lilies, daisies. There are also birds, oriental figures, Kate Greenaway figures. There is no padding and the pieces are stitched on to white cotton. The backing is polished black cotton and the layers are fastened with yellow ties. The quilt is finished around the edge with black cord with 2 loops and a black fringed tassel at each corner. 1580 x 1500 mm.
Patchwork quilt, handsewn, with centre section made from hexagons, in red solid and prints, and green, blue and black prints and checks. The centre hexagonal section has sides measuring 420mm. The rest of the quilt is of cream cotton with stars,hearts and other motifs appliqued, and finished with a wide border with 3 narrow red stripes. At a later date it was backed with white damask and machined in 25mm squares, the edges also sewn by machine. No padding.

"A crazy quilt, but even more crazy because each piece of fabric is stuffed with cotton wool. "[Kathy Allam] The quilt has cotton backing, and the seams are embroidered with a decorative feather stitch. Fabrics are plains and prints, most of the prints are florals. The main colours are yellows, blues, pinks, soft greens and dark browns and black, with a light blue/green binding and edge.
Hand stitched Grandmother's Flower Garden cotton quilt constructed from a wide variety of materials. The centre of each hexagon is a flower. On the outer edge there is a bobble fringe sewn on to a 25mm red strip. There is an inner border of a brown floral trail of hexagons. The background is white cotton.

Patchwork quilt made of diamond patches in the Tumbling Block pattern. Fabrics used are velvet, corduroy, brocade, crepe, with dark bright colours predominating, also cream and pastels. Each patch is lined or backed with various fabrics such as crepe or lining fabric. Hand and machine sewn.

4 hexagon flower motifs in cotton and brocade stitched with herringbone stitch to a blue background form the centre frame. There are then 3 borders of woollen materials and additional strips either end. The backing is a printed cotton with multicoloured balloons and '1967' embroidered in one corner. The padding is thought to be an old blanket.

Centre of hexagon pieces edged with braid and surrounded by 3 borders of old coating materials. The hexagons and the borders are all wool. There is herringbone stitch on the edge of the rayon backing. The padding is an old cream blanket.

Velvet log cabin quilt. The background is black and the colours are shades of pale blue to royal blue, apple green to forest green, purple and a deep salmon. Original backing of artificial silk now replaced (1940s) with striped folk weave bedspread hand stitched on.

Dresden Plate' quilt with scalloped edge. Made in traditional template method from multicoloured scraps of printed fabrics with counterpoint of turquoise cotton. The 'plates' are set into calico blocks. The backing is calico and the quilt is very finely hand quilted. 2290 x 1950mm
Frame quilt made from taffetas, satins, chinese type brocades and some silks. The central square is a checkerboard pattern and the radiating borders are mainly squares. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. The padding is cotton and the backing is rectangles joined together.

Very finely hand stitched quilt. 4cm squares of taffeta, silk, brocade, cotton, sateen, crepe with 12 squares set on point to make a block. The blocks are then randomly placed. There is no padding and the backing is fine burgundy coloured cotton. 1690 x 1520mm
Patchwork quilt made from octagon and square patches in bright and pastel colours in a mixture of prints, in cotton fabrics, including satin cotton, slub cotton, seersucker and mixed dress fabrics. Backing is a printed cotton flannelette blanket. All seams are covered with perfect, even, white crochet cotton embroidery in feather stitch, including along both sides of border pieced of rectangles. Hand and machine sewn.

Quilt in 90 x 29cm blocks of crazy patch. Each block is 10 pieces of multi-coloured printed scraps, many of Tahitian prints, some from family dresses. Machine stitched and pieced and overlain in large herringbone stitch in black. There is a 12 cm border in orange cotton and the backing is the same material. There is no padding. 2790 x 2270mm
Silk quilt in tumbling block pattern. Central panel of blocks arranged a different way. Backing is paisley cotton brought to the top and bound in place with 3 cm wide silk ribbon.

The quilt is constructed from 64 x 35mm rectangles of printed cottons possibly samples as there are several colourways of some patterns. The pieces have been sewn together in rows and then the rows joined. There is no padding and the backing is khaki desoutti.

Pieced kangaroo skin rug. The centre is a square on edge (grey) with radiating squares made up of rectangular pieces of different coloured skins. The skins were from the big red, the blue flyer, the black scrubber and the grey. One of a pair. The rug is lined with blue felt with traditional scalloped edge. The edge is double where it extends beyond the fur.

Rabbit skin rug. Hand pieced and stitched on to an Onkaparinga blanket as the backing. The orange coloured blanket shows around the edge of the rug. The skins are very soft and pliable.
Cot quilt of strips of printed blue and white striped cotton fabric with white strips in between. Machine pieced and hand quilted.

Wholecloth rug/ quilt. Front and back the same pattern. Cotton, creamish background with bunches of blue flowers. Machined. Some large patches. There is padding but it is unknown exactly what.
